The board meets six times a year in London, on a Saturday afternoon. Trustees are required to read papers, give advice, and may be asked to take part in other activities between meetings.

We support trustees with

• a day's external training
• a day with the staff in Tourettes Action's office to see how things are run there
• a 'buddy' trustee for new members of the board
• contact numbers for fellow trustees and staff in case of query
• reimbursement of expenses incurred through being a trustee, so no-one is out of pocket
